Plan of Salvation

1. God wants you to know that you are a sinner by birth!

“Behold, I was formed in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.” Psalms 51:5

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” Romans 3:10

2. God wants you to know WHY you are a sinner by birth!

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” Romans 5:12

“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” Romans 5:19

3. God wants you to know that you should be sorry and remorseful over your sin!

“Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” Romans 2:4

“I tell you, Nay; but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” Acts 3:19

4. God wants you to know there is a penalty for your sin!

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

“For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.” Romans 7:11

“The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” Ezekiel 18:20a

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8

5. God wants you to know that He has MADE A WAY for you to HAVE ALL YOUR SINS FORGIVEN!

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” John 14:6

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“But God commends his love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

6. God wants you to know that you can be SAVED and absolutely KNOW it!

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe in his name:” John 1:12

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:13

If you are sorry for the sins that you have committed against God and have understood your need for forgiveness, then ask God to save you!

Just bow your head before God and admit to Him that you are a sinner. Then from your heart pray the sinner’s prayer, “God be merciful to me a sinner” (Luke 18:13). Come into my heart and save me, because I claim your promise that “He that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)

Simply praying a prayer does not save you. When you, from your heart, take God at His word, He accepts your act of faith in His promise and saves you!
