Our Missions Program

Great Commission Baptist Church only supports missionaries, evangelists and mission agencies that are in agreement with our doctrinal statement.

We do our best to have fellow Independent Baptist Missionaries come by and share their burden to our church family. We endeavor to pray for all, but only financially support those whom we believe God would have us partner with.

Consider praying for our missions program! Currently we support 12 Missionary Families, 2 Evangelists, and 1 Mission Board. Each one means a lot to us and we endeavor to be a blessing to each of them. Please labor with us in prayer for them! We would like to eventually have a missionary in every time zone so that it could be said that the “sun never sets upon the ministry of Great Commission Baptist Church!”

  1. Greetings Pastor ,

I am Missionary/evangelist Stephen J. Nissley from Sherman Maine. I would like to tell you about a need in the land of Greenland.

Chris and Carole Shull are presently the only Baptist missionaries in Greenland. The Shull family receives their support through “All Points Baptist Mission” in New Philadelphia Ohio. Chris is the pastor of the only Baptist church in Greenland, and as far as we know the only Bible believing church in on the whole island of Greenland, and it is located in the village of Ilulissat.

Their church is doing very well. They have filled almost all the chairs they have in the building and anticipate enlarging the room where they meet for the preaching.

The reason I am writing to you is that Chris has received requests from Greenlanders from other villages, to come and tell their folks about Jesus.
That was impossible until last summer. There are no roads connecting villages and travel to other villages is by airplane or boat. Chris could not afford to go by air and he had no boat. Miraculously God provided a boat, and it was put in use for the first time last summer.

This boat is a direct answer to prayer. It was purchased by God’s people, and completely paid for. We operated this boat last summer and have a little money left over for this coming summer. However, we would like to get the boat in the water in May this spring, and keep it going until September. There is an expense involved with this project. Neither Chris nor I can afford to pay for the fuel (close to $10.00 a gal. American) to operate the boat all summer. We would like you to pray and possibly there may be a way your church could help us with this project with a few dollars each month over the summer or possible a one time gift toward this boat ministry.

Please send any money to All Points Baptist Mission, PO Box 977, New Philadelphia OH. 44663. Please make a note that it is for the “Chris Shull Boat Fund”.

Here is a you tube address of a DVD Chris made about the boat, this will give you a little more information. Thank you from all of us!!

  2. Hello, I am an Independent Baptist Missionary on deputation going to South Africa out of Calvary Baptist Church in Coudersport, PA. I am going to be going as a church plant assistant as well as a medical missionary. I would love to hear back about the possibility of sharing my burden for South Africa with your church. Thank you
