Our Pastor

Pastor Andrew SchankAndrew Schank and his wife, Shilo, have been married since March 5, 1999. They have 5 wonderful children whose names are: Miranda, Andrea, Caleb, Joshua and Micah. They are sent out of the Gospel Light Baptist Church of Walkertown, North Carolina to pioneer the starting of an independent baptist church in Blair, Nebraska. The Schank’s have spent over 31 months raising prayer and financial support to begin this endeavor while serving with Macedonia World Baptist Missions of Braselton, Georgia. Finally, they were able to move to Blair in the latter part of October 2010.

Testimonies of Salvation:

Both Shilo and Andrew have a similar testimony of salvation. First, Shilo, was saved at the age of fourteen, just before her fifteenth birthday. She had made a profession of faith at the age of five, but later got under conviction about the age of thirteen. This went on for a while, until she submitted to Christ, repenting of her sins and was born again. Secondly, Andrew, much like Shilo, made a profession at a young age. At the age of six he asked God to save him, but in retrospect, there was no real sense of salvation. Andrew felt that he just did not really understand. Thank God for his mercy in that He spared Andrew’s soul until February 16, 1992. He had just turned sixteen when I was born again at the Gospel Light Baptist Church of Walkertown, North Carolina. The Schank Family

Andrew is a graduate of Carver High School of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and also a graduate of Calvary Baptist Bible College and Seminary of King, North Carolina. After completing 4 years of college, Andrew received a Bachelors Of Theology degree in 1998. Currently, Andrew has put his Masters of Christian Education studies aside until the ground work can be laid for the upstart of Great Commission Baptist Church.

The Working Pastor – This site is meant to be a resource for any spiritual leader. Though primarily targeting Pastors, Evangelists and Missionaries, any child of God would love this website’s content.
